The name Type A was inspired by a stand-up comedy piece I performed during my sophomore year of college. (Who knew I could do stand-up comedy?) In the skit, I talked about the traits of Type A personalities. We're obsessive, ambitious, detail-oriented, and stress feeders. In my opinion, we're just the ultimate overachievers.
While I am all of those things, there are other facets of me that aren't so defined. What's Anderlyn's "type A?" I'm a crazy theater geek (Hamilton all the way), I eat peanut butter by the buckets, and my relationship with God keeps me going. Type A is a place for me to be my authentic self. It is my hope that by celebrating my truth and individuality, I can inspire others to do the same.
